The Somali Medical Students Association (SOMSA) is a student-led organization founded in 2015 by healthcare students from Mogadishu University, Benadir University, University of Somalia (UNISO), and SIMAD University.
SOMSA was created with a simple but important goal: to unite Somali health students under one platform where they can learn, collaborate, support one another, and contribute to the future of healthcare in Somalia. What started as a small initiative between students has grown into a wider community connecting students and young healthcare professionals across universities, regions, and the Somali diaspora.
